Based in Chicago, Matt Schoch is a humor writer and sports journalist. Now, he’s trying to do both at once.

Originally from the Detroit area, Matt recently gave up the full-time newspaper grind when he finally realized nobody reads them anymore. An award-winning writer and part-time radio and TV broadcaster, Matt has been published in Newsday, USA Today and on Second City Network. Previously working in Port Huron, Mich., Springfield, Mo., and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Matt covered millions of high school football games, some cricket and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Matt has studied at Second City, and was his high school’s valedictorian and class president. He has been on a slow, but steady, decline since then.
